Get the hummus.
Try it first. It will help you get past the fact that the other food is just ok. The hummus is where you want to be. -

Pita is located in the Ingles Shopping center behind Tubby Tom's. It's the newest biz to open over here and I heard it the food was good so I wanted to check it out. I stopped in today around 12:15 and was surprised I was able to walk right up to the counter for immediate friendly service. There were about ~10 patrons already seated in the dining area so not overly crowded.
The space itself it pretty cool with a big Georgia wall mural (sorry I didn't snap a pic) and lots of galvanized metal sheets as decor. You can see the food prep area through the glass sneezeguards. You'll see the employees putting together different platters and carving delicious meat off of vertical rotisseries. You then place your order at one of two stations easily distinguishable from the "order here" sign above :) The service was friendly and fast - I was outta there in less than 10 minutes!
As for the noms, I ordered the traditional gyro and was surprised how generous they were with the meat! The nicely flavored lamb spilled out of the fresh fluffy pita with a nice dollop of tzatziki on top. The meat wasn't piping hot (as I noticed someone mentioned in another review) but it was delicious regardless. I was also really glad I went for the Greek fries (but note it'll add $2 to your bill) which was a drizzle of tahini sauce and a bunch of feta cheese...they were dang good. Liiiike, I want some more right now. The fries were smaller cut and crispy but the sauciness on top made it 10x better. YUM! Pair it with an ice cold [insert fave Coca-cola product] and you are all set, my friend!
There's plenty of seating here - mostly 2 tops, a handful of 4 tops and bar seating along the front window. They had a TV showing tennis and another TV displaying images of menu items. The room itself was large in size and really echoey.
Overall, I think it's a nice addition to Covington. It's definitely the trendiest interior and offers a new type of cuisine (there's not a Zoe's or anything similar in the area). I would return if I got the craving for Med food in the area. -

It was fast, it was clean, it was fresh and it was good!
The greek fries OMG!! I had the traditional gyro with a side of hummus- everything was very good!
I saw they had baklava cheesecake after I had paid...I AM going back and will order that as well. Highly recommend -

This is probably the worst meal i have had in a long time now.. so bad that I couldn't even eat 1/4 of it. I ordered a falafel rice bowl on UberEats. The food was so sour, soggy and absolutely tasteless.Save your time and money and go somewhere else.
